Tawheed (also spelled Tawhid) is the central and most important concept in Islam. It comes from the Arabic root word "Wahhada," which means to unite, unify, or consolidate.
In Islamic terms, Tawheed means the absolute Oneness and Uniqueness of God (Allah) in His Essence, His Attributes, and His right to be worshipped. It is the core message of all the Prophets, from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and finally, Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
